Following the excellent talk given to us last autumn by Neil Miller, Head Gardener at Hever Castle, we thought a mid-summer visit to the gardens would be fun.  There is much to see at Hever.  The gardens are set in 125 acres of glorious grounds.  We can wander through the Italian Garden; admire the giant topiary chess set and inhale the fragrance of over 4000 rose bushes in the Rose Garden then stroll through the Tudor Garden, Blue Corner and Rhododendron Walk all providing year-round colour and interest. Overlooking the 38-acre lake, The Loggia is a good spot to relax before exploring the cascades, grottoes and fountains.  Take a picnic or enjoy the delights on offer at one of the restaurants, cafes or kiosks in the grounds.
